Who is Pilates for?
Pilates is for anyone looking to address muscle imbalances and to improve posture, balance, strength, muscle tone, pelvic floor function, joint movement, stress relief and mind/body connection.Anyone under 18 years of age interested in private Pilates sessions will need parental consent.
What is Pilates?
Joseph Pilates defined his work as "A way to completely and thoroughly unify the body, mind and spirit." That is my goal for all of my clients as well as through my own practice of Pilates.During our sessions we will be doing a mixture of mat, springboard and reformer Pilates. We will be focusing on needs specific to your body and mind. The beautiful thing about Pilates is that the better you get, the more challenging Pilates is. As you start integrating the correct posture for each exercise and engaging the correct muscles while connecting to the 6 principles of Pilates you find more depth in the practice and start seeing great results.
THE 6 PRINCIPLES OF PILATES
BREATHING
CONCENTRATION

Session INFO
Sessions are 50 minutes long. Our initial session will include a posture assessment which takes about 5 minutes. This helps me understand what our starting point is.I work with many prenatal and postpartum mamas where little ones are more than welcome to accompany mom to the session. I have a 1.5 year old boy and have toys for +6mo, a gated play area in the room where I teach, and books to keep little ones entertained while mom gets to exercise. All of these items are sanitized before and after each session along with all of the Pilates equipment.
Cancellation Policy
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you need to make any changes to your booked session, please do so 24 hours before your booking in order to not lose your pre-paid session.

About Me
I came across Pilates while working the front desk at a local studio. I had previous injuries from playing sports all of my life and Pilates was the first form of exercise that helped tone and strengthen while easing the pain instead of making it worse (as opposed to HIIT, running, weight lifting, etc.)Through Pilates I've seen people with chronic pain, feeling hopeless, walk into the studio weeks later glowing inside and out and looking like a whole new person. After becoming a mom in 2022, I experienced intense postpartum depression. Pilates has continued to be a way for me to ground back into myself, move through the changes, and keep my body and mind in a positive and healthy space while continuing to challenge myself. This is what led me to focus on prenatal and postpartum within Pilates.
My goal is to help my clients establish a solid mind/body connection, understand exercise cues, spring levels and to push their own limits while understanding what modifications (if any) they need to take so that they can walk into any type of Pilates class feeling confident. A strong mind/body connection will help significantly in any other form of exercise found in the future.
